Wednesday night I came up with this super idea.....soooooooooooooooooooo
For two days I have been held hostage by these wonderful fabrics (got them at inchworm fabrics)....
The thing is, I like being held up in my sewing room...what is even more amazing is that I cooked both nights....what a shocker for my husband. Ask my mother, she would have passed out if I had cooked while she was here......sorry MOM!!!
I ran out of fabrics today...need more....good thing I know where to go.
Then Michelle from Dresden quilter sent me this block to go with MY ME quilt that I am making....thanks Michelle, I love it!!
Next, I went and brought some Mod Podge and created these folders for my young women at church....their name is Beehives for their age group. I did this when my mother was here, she helped color. I was so stressed to get these done and then only had two girls show up that evening. Oh well...it got done!!

Very pretty fabrics. I can't wait to see what you are making. Pretty block your friend made you. What cute little books!
Did you say you ran out of fabric?!!
Sounds like you're having a good time.... I like to be holed up in my sewing room, too, and that's where I've been for the past few days! The block from Michelle is very nice, and those Beehive folders are adorable... I'm sure the girls loved them!
Have fun, but remember to come out sometime and take a break....chocolate is good for that! :o
XOXO,

I know how you feel; I was kept hostage by Ethan's quilt and my need to get it finished in time for the quilt show. Whew! I'm glad that's over! I love the quilt you made with the tumbler die. The back is especially gorgeous. 8) I still haven't gotten a go-cutter, but it's still on my list.
Take care,

Nice!!
And if you hadn't gotten them done they all would have shown up! You have to be one of the most active people I know. You've always got a bunch of things going on. I'm amazed!
It's fun being held hostage as long as you are having fun AND being productive :0) I bet more girls will show up once the word gets out on what they missed out on!!
Crispy
Love that beehive, Barb.

I can't wait for my fabrics to hold me hostage too. Your fabrics are great.
Fabric play is the best kind of all!
Fabric certainly can be very captivating!
I want to be kidnapped by your assailant. LOL I better make sure I have plenty of fabric.
I could go for being held up in my sewing room. I would demand that they place a very high ransom for me too.
Lovely! I think the folders are really cute too!
I want to be held hostage too! Did you say you ran out of fabrics? Ha! Too funny!
Sewing and dinner all in one day...you are amazing lol. I love playing with new fabrics.
Can't think of a better place to be held hostage than a sewing room with beautiful fabrics .Love the beehives and I am sure the girls did too.
How can you run out of fabrics? Is it just something specific you need for a project. You are kidding eh! I you need something and I have it I will send it to you. I try not to do dinner the days I sew but doesn't always work. I absolutely hate the time cooking takes some days. Blessings
No fair! We have to wait for you to get more fabric before we can see what you're up to?
Pretty fabrics. I couldn't have left them either. I'll be your girls really enjoyed those books. Cute!
Gorgeous fabrics! Enjoy playing with them over the weekend.
I love to be held hostage in my sewing room, and especially when it comes to "playing" with my fabrics.
BTW...those are pretty ones too.
Is there a better place to be held hostage? Okay, maybe a quilt shop that sells machines, too. LOL
Those gals don't know what they missed! Your beehive folder is so cute.
Its nice to be held hostage in ones sewing room :) Nice fabrics :) hugs Vicki x
Beautiful fabrics. But I'm not going to try to rescue you (sorry). Can't wait to see what you create from being held hostage.
