I usually sweep my hardwood floors first and then go over them with this swifter.....never ceases to surprise me on the dust I can get on one of these even after sweeping.So....I always kept telling myself, one day I am going to cut them up and then serge them together. I saw this done on a blog...I am thinking "Happy Cottage Quilter"...not sure so forgive if I am wrong and if it was your blog, I would be happy to mention it.
That was my disclaimer.....so I finally did it, double the towel over, cut in half.....so I have four halves....keep two together and serge.... Easy......
Now...the one question is.
"Why did I wait so long to do this?"....it took a matter of a few minutes. Savcs money too.... More money for material....HA!!!

Have you ever seen such Samoan delights? I carried these fabrics from the kitchen, to the sewing room, to the living room...just so I could see them. Yes, I know, I have a sickness....

Okay, now I am officially jealous. Terrible thing to admit on a Sunday, but those Samoan fabrics are so lovely. I especially like the browns and yellows. My son has put in an order for swim trunks out of some of my Samoan fabric stash. MY stash--oh dear there I go again (sigh). ;o) btw I love your banner.

Great idea Barb! I never did like spending money on those cloths. I used to use the wet cloths until I bought a Libman mop. I used our old washcloths instead of buying new wet cloths each month. Every little penny counts, right?

Great idea on re-purposing old (or "not my favorite") towels.
Great fabrics Barb. I use the skinny pieces of batting on my wood floors but your idea works nicely too. Tell Krista hi from me when you get a chance.

gosh Barb I forgot the fabric, nothing like those Samoan prints to make me yearn for the tropics.
Oh yeah, that fabric is gorgeous. Does the flower that appears in most of their fabric have a name or is it just a design element? It resembles a magnolia. It definitely seems to identify that area of the world, at least to me.

A great idea too with using up/recycling or being green with the towels. I give mine to my husband for his garage but I think I'll start doing this too.
Such gorgeous fabrics, but I am worried they won't fit in well with the ones you just so prettily organized. But don't worry, I have a solution for you. I think I have a spot they would fit into...just right. :)
