One tote...
This table runner...you can find the directions here.
That is alot out of one honey bun...
I say SWEEEEEEEEEEETTTT!!
Now for the next tote (no honey bun involved) but I wanted to share with you my scrunchie handles. If you look above at the tote, it too has scrunchie handles.
Inside the handles are these ribbons....look familiar? These are the ribbons that come tied around your honey buns and jelly rolls.....so next time, don't throw them away.
I make the casing about a half size longer than the ribbon...
use a saftey pen and pull the ribbon through the casing...sew each end...and wallllla!!
A nice scrunchie handle....if I had to do this green one over, I would have made the casing wider...least way, you get the idea....turns out so cute...adds a different dimension to a tote.
Remember you saw it here first!!
All lovely and love the scrunchie handles
ReplyDeleteGreat idea. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteCute!!
ReplyDeleteLove the scrunchie handles!
Great idea!
Love the handle idea, because it looks so much easier than some I've done. A honeybun can be a very good thing, with all those things to do!
ReplyDeletegreat idea Barb. Your totes and runners look great.
ReplyDeleteCute idea for the handles!!!
ReplyDeletelove the first tote bag, yummy.....and scrunchie handles...hmmmmm
ReplyDeleteAll your projects are so cute!
ReplyDeleteThose scrunchie handles are great, clever idea. Your work is fabulous
ReplyDeleteVery cool!
ReplyDeleteWow you sure can get a lot out of one honey bun!! I love your scrunchie handles and was a great way to recycle the ribbon!! You are so clever :0)
ReplyDeleteCrispy
If you want to show folks what several honey buns can do....I'll take a photo of my midsection and send it to you :)
ReplyDeleteSmiles,

That's alot out of one honeybun! You busy girl you!
ReplyDeleteAll of that from 1 Honey Bun??? I say WOW!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThat's a very cute and clever idea, Barb. I'll have to give that a try on one of my bags! Thanks for the tip.
ReplyDeleteXOXO,
Cyndi
How clever of you to use those "ribbons" that are tied around the honey buns! Great job!
ReplyDeleteVERY cute scrunchie handles!!! I always make scrunchie straps for my daughter's dresses...but I use elastic. I can't wait to use this method with a bag :) :)
ReplyDeleteCute idea, you are so clever and look at all you did from one honey bun!! Great!
ReplyDeleteYou're so creative and smart about it too! I would have never thought to see how many items I could get out of a jelly roll. I'm surprised though!
ReplyDeleteYou can do alot with a honey bun! Love all the bags. Great idea about the handles. I save those "ribbons" from all my pre-cut fabric that has them. I toss them in drawer and forget about them. I thought about using them for a handle but never came even close to thinking about covering them with fabric! Terrific!
ReplyDeletep.s. I ordered a Go! today. WooHoo! Hubby twisted my arm and made me do it lol.
Everything is adorable. You squeezed alot out of that honey bun. Compliments on your new pic.
ReplyDeleteThose are great handles--and congratulations on your continuing weight loss. Maybe you can reward yourself with....Fabric!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute idea! Love the scrunchie handles :o) I picked up an orange bundle this spring for my youngest daughter... she fell in love with the orange *ribbon* tied around it! Wants the ribbon included in the project :o)
ReplyDeleteWonderful items and great idea! You are sew clever!
ReplyDeleteJust love the scrunchie handle, and yes I share your honey bun joy. Anything already cut is sweet! Your table runner is great - love it.
ReplyDeleteWow! I cant believe a honey bun makes all that....the scrunchie handles are awesome......
