BEACH, A FRIEND, AND A TABLE RUNNER

What do they all have in common? They bring me great joy and pleasure.

My husband and I went walking along the airport today (which was Saturday), which is by the ocean....and I came home with a few treasures.

Don't you just love this coral? Looks like a brain.

Look what Pat sent me from A little of this and a little of Pat....isn't she wonderful? She wanted me to make something for my new home and she knows I looooovvvveeee snowmen.

Notice that the candy has already been opened....I have the note pad by my computer...I am writing on there what I plan to achieve for the week, sometimes I forget and get side tracked. A magnet with the letter B and this wonderful wonky house. She said it was her trial block....well....Pat....

Look what I made with your trial block! Used my insul brite....and I looovvvvvveeee it! Thanks soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much!!

I made the smaller table runner today....with regular batting. I think I know what my problem is...my binding is stiffer than the actual project which makes it wave...I think a few washings will take care of that..... Had a fun day today...the walk along the beach was just what I needed to be rejuvinated.

A walk on the beach always makes me feel better.

You sure are whipping those runners out like nobody's business.

I love what you did with the trial block!

How nice of Pat! I love your wonky house block. And another runner. So pretty. I just love how you crank things out like clock work.

Barb you are making great runners there. I am going to email you the tutorial for the houses so you can make a whole bunch.

This is the first chance I have had all week to catch up on the blogs. You have been a busy bee. So what do you do with all the shells you find? I have a large jar full that I have collected on a few different beaches and never knew what to do with them.

How fun, I love beach combing, especially for sand dollars, so hard to find whole ones.

That Pat, what a sweetie she is!!

That wonky house wall-hanging is perfect, so cute. As for the table runner, wavy (and krinkly) is good! :) It seems so many red February projects are coming in, very appropriate. It makes me wonder why I'm working with darker Thimbleberries earth tones. Either I'm way behind the season, or way ahead of next year.

Sounds like a great day! What could be better than a walk along the beach and then spending the rest of the day sewing?

I love what you did with your cottage block and that table runner is so festive.

I love shells too! I used to have them on a shelf in my bathroom when I had an ocean theme in there. Now you made me wonder where I put them. LOL!

I look forward to seeing what you come up with using that snowman panel. SEW many possibilities.

You HAVE to open the candy first! That way you have more time to enjoy the other goodies in the package! Cute tablerunner!

LOVE the pretty shells and am glad you were happy with what I sent to you. I was quite sure you would give that snowman panel (and the wonky house) a good home. I had to laugh when you were saying last weekend that you wanted some snow when I knew I had that snowman panel on the way to you. :)

Barb, love the table runner and love the sample square. You are a busy gal. Everytime I go to someone's blog there you are...posting and commenting and I think how can someone be everywhere? You are amazing and I hope one day when I am not working so much I can be as active as you are on here. You bring great joy to many people and I am sure you are greatly appreciated! Take care Barb and thanks for all the support you have given me too during my illness and my mom's. Stephanie

I loved your shells. We have a beach about 200 miles a way but the shells are not that pretty. How have you been? I have been gone to Alaska for an emergency trip and I still have a box of stuff for you so will try to get it mailed this week.

The snowman panel is terrific. What are you planning to do with it?

Happy stitching,

I wish I had a beach to walk on...I do have snowy sidewalks, though so it will have to do. I love what you did with the cottage...very sweet! You get so much done.

I have that snowman panel and I just sandwiched and quilted it (no additional borders, etc.) and it is one of my favourites to hang during the holiday season.
