It is this:
To get it into this:
I was determined to get this quilt into a flat rate envelope ...... cost alot less to send. So................ I got a trash bag.....cut it down....squeezed............................and squeezed..............turned blue...............squeezed some more, til I squeezed all the air out......then I taped it....oops...more air.....poke a little whole and squeeze some more.... tape some more......now sweat is dripping.......thinking I am going to do this or die.......still squeezing....still sweating but the deed is done. Will mail this today.

no way!
Thank goodness it was the quilt ! I thought you'd knocked someone off , lol !
Wish we had a video!! would be hilarious.
Oh Barb, I can imagine the huffing and puffing, not to mention the sweating and groaning! Mission accomplished though so it was all worth it. What a surprise at the other end when that wonderful quilt "springs" out of that bag!
you are definately The Queen of Squeeze. Good Job Barb
ROFL, I sure hope the post office doesn't accidentally poke a hole in the package, they will have a quilt explosion.
The quilt is just wonderful. She is really going to love it!!

Flat Rate is the best!!!! Good job!! I am searching for a flat rate int'l box right now to mail some eBay stuff to a buyer in Russia - I will make it fit!!!!!LOL Then we tape it to death, to make sure the contents do not "explode" out while traveling overseas!!!!
WOW! What a workout!
When the recipient opens it they better stand back. LOL
Squeeze & Sweat ??? That was definatley good for a giggle!

Wow, now that is persistence. But I do appreciate your, shall we call it "Thrift"? Here's a tip for next time: Use a vacuum cleaner to suck all the air out of the plastic bag. It shrink wraps it. That's how we pack fiber into boxes for mailing.
haaaa love it Barb!
I do same thing try to get as much in them as possible!
Cute Pat Sloan quilt too!!
Oh my, what a lot of work! Congratulations on using ingenuity to get it into the flate rate envie! I usually use my Tilla vacuum sealer to get the air out of packaging, saves the lungs. :^)
Amazing! I can't believe you did it!
Wow. I'm amazed you could get that in there!!! :)
I can't believe you were able to squeeze that big thing in that little envelope! I don't blame you though. I did the same thing with a quilt going to Australia. It was much smaller though.
I was just thinking the other day that it might be good to use one of those vacuum bags to squeeze quilts small enough to mail in the flat rate envelope.
Linda is right about using the vacuum....it works. GOOD job, though, to get it done so well without using the vacuum. You got your exercise for the day by doing that. LOL
You Go Girl!!! Now that is what I like...a girl saving money!! Oh yea baby :)

I'd never be able to do it...and glad you could get the job done.

Oh my goodness Barb.. now that was a real work out. for sure.. did you lose any weight doing that..(tee hee hee) if so maybe we should all try that for our fat burning :) I still can't believe that huge quilt fit in side that mailer!!!
You sure do have a trick or two in your hat :)

What an adorable quilt.. I don't blame you for wanting to save on the postage. I'm impressed you managed to get it in there. Some postal clerks are such sticklers.
I am very impressed!
You just crack me up...I am glad to see it is on it's way to the new owner!!!
