I have decided that I am a woman of color.....you see this quilt below. It is made from the nine patch swap blocks that Aunt Pitty Patty put together. I was showing this to my husband and he likes it but says that I am so use to these Samoan and island fabrics that anything would look dull after that. So....I am a woman of color...not afraid of it.
As you can see I have one row that is different. I did not have enough blocks to make 12, I only had ten...so I added a few segments to go all the way across and just did a pink line between the other blocks. I am thinking now that a green square at the end of each strip at the top where the different blocks are seperated by the pink. would look good...? Too late....I am done...I have so much going on that I have to be done, or for atleast now, well....I might get to thinking to much on it and change it tonight....my husbands still does not have buttons on his shirt...did find some buttons but ....well......the mood left.
Yep, the more I look at it, the more it needs two green squares to seperate the pink line up top....so as it is written, so shall it be done....

Green is my new favorite colour. I love this quilt. The green just pulls it together.
I like brights!
Did you stay up all night fixing it? Very cute and colorful. I've been trying to spin a subdued yarn for a client and it's been really hard! I like color!
If the need for the green really bothers you and you don't want to take it apart...maybe you could just applique the squares on?
After seeing all your Samoan quilts, this one does look a bit dull color wise. Still looks great though :)
I have really missed sewing this week. *sigh*
I like the scrappy look, and like the strip you added. I don't know if I would have thought of that. Fun!
: } pokey
Oh I really like what you did with yours and I like it just the way it is!!
I think I am a woman of color too. I love all the brights.
What about if you staggered the green sqaure with one on the top row, two in the middle and maybe one on the opposite side of the bottom? It would be more random.
Boy oh boy you are fast, mine are still in the bag. I agree it does need two green squares, but all in all it looks good. It was a fun swap wasn't it?
I've never thought of it this way, I must be a woman of color also. I love bright fabrics.. I like your scrappy quilt.
Yep, I think you are right. Done doesn't mean it has to be perfect, but it does mean that you are satisfied and it makes you smile.
Crispy
I like it the way it is, creative and liberated.
Another work of art by you. Who will get this one?
Your scrappy quilt is great! Lately, I have been wondering back and forth between colourful and pastel quilts.
