I love batiks because they are beautiful colors and not a pattern.

Hi!!!!! I love the sun morn!!!! I like batiks because the colors make movement that are more natural than just shapes....if that makes any sense!!!!! Thanks for the fun!!!!

That yellow and blue are so pretty! I love Island Batiks, too. The colors are rich, and the dying process makes them have such depth of color. I can't wait to see all that Island Batiks is offering at Market.

When I read "Morn'N" I heard DDebbie Reynolds from "Singing in the Rain". ;) batiks are a favorite, of course, each and every one is OOAK. :)

The colors are so brilliant! Thanks!

Batiks are so rich and have so much depth of color that they are hard to resist. Now I have Debbie Reynolds stuck in my head.

Teresa in Music City said...

Why do I love batiks? That's easy! They are the sexiest fabrics in the world!!!!! If fabrics were movie stars, batiks would be Marilyn Monroe and John Wayne - megastars!!! When you use batiks in a quilt, you know you are going to end up with something beautiful, irregardless of the design :)

I love batiks because you can use them in so many different ways. My husband wants me to make a quilt for him he designed. He walked in while I was sorting my fabric and saw the Batiks and told me that was what he wanted me to use in his quilt - LOL

I love batiks because from one cut of the fabric you can get so many different colors and patterns to use. I love using them for applique because they don't fray. I also love them because they are so beautiful! Thanks for being willing to part with some beautiful batiks! K-

Batik is very common in my part of the world but it is totally different to what you are showing! very popular with the tourists though.

Sally said...

The colours first and foremost, followed by how much denser the fabric is. Which makes I find making patchwork more accurate.

I love them because they are almost always rich in color and visual texture. There is also no "wrong side" so the odd scraps are a bit more versatile.

The colors, textures, visions and and and. It would be easier to tell you why I don't like Batiks rather then why. LOL that answer would be easy,,,,,,are you crazy, I love Batiks. Thanks for a beautiful giveaway.

Batiks are my favorite. Our local LQS carries over 1,000 bolts of batiks. I am so spoiled. I just ignore the rest of the store. There's so much variety with batiks. What's not to love about them?

I love batiks for their rich saturated colours, for their wonderful hand, finer weave, and having no right or wrong side.

I love the blues and yellows. So bright, rich, and happy feeling, just like getting up on a summer morning. Batiks are one of my favorites because The dying process makes for beautiful, bright color, right from nature. I also love the texture and they're so easy to work with and make any project jump out at you. Don't feel bad about cutting the fabric. I'm sure the quarters will find a good , loving home. I love making hexies with batiks. I like how the colors blend into the next color. It's also nice when the color goes all throughout and you can't tell the front from the back.
