HATS IN THE ATTIC

Don't mind the washing machine in the background (yep....now you all notice it, maybe I should not have said anything).

Here are the hats we found in the attic.

The owner of these hats must have had a small head.

Here is a funny looking one
Here is the inside of the funny looking one.
This one is all feathers and there is a netting inside.

The one at the top is so funny looking, my husband thought it was a wig....HUH????

I can see Lucille Ball wearing the one on the right.

These are satin.

It was so fun finding these hats, now to find a vintage store that would love to have them.  I personally do not need all of these things.  I am even thinking of selling the quilt squares I have found...yes, I found more.  So if any of you might be interested...just give me a shout out and I will send over pictures.  I will never finish them.

Next...to leave you with a photo of my sewing room today.  Husband spent yesterday building a temporary chicken coop so my room was on hold....but today I think we are going to put the last mudd on it and we will begin the painting tomorrow.  Did I hear someone Whoop????

Wow, what a treasure trove of hats. I suspect you'll find a store that will carry that type of item.

I might be interested in some of the quilt squares if you want to send me pictures and prices on them. How much for one of the black hats in the seventh picture down. I'm also trying to imagine what the hats in the second picture would look like on someone's head - LOL I love old hats, but they usually look dumb one me or are deteriorating . missysaprons@gmail.com

I know you are already tired of all of the "treasures" you have been finding, but I love all of your posts about your eclectic finds.

Those hats are really neat I am sure you will find a place to get them sold.. Google them maybe that will get you some answers. I hope you can get your room painted, have you chosen the colour.

You mean to say someone actually left these behind when they moved!!!

Love the hats. Some of them look very 1950's, the type of hats that Doris Day might have worn in her films.

Oh how I have enjoyed reading your finds in the attic you make it sound like lots of fun. Hope you had a wonderful time in Samoa I have lived in several of the Pacific Islands too, but now retired and living in FNQLD Australia. Love the paintings I'm also a great shopper of second hand goods I even work in our local Church Opp shop once a week which is a lot of fun and laughter. Have fun with those hats LOL. Cheers Glenda Australia.
