SCORE!!!!

I did get a new hopping foot...haven't used it yet.

So our church was having a Antie's Attic....

where everyone brings items from their home they no longer want....and then you take freely from the items that have been brought.

I took three large boxes of items and said...I will not bring anything home!

I had it all planned out in my mind..

.bring home nothing...

don't even look.

So....I take my boxes....

heard some ladies talking and I said...

.I am only bringing not taking (kinda smugly if you ask me)....

Chin held high....eyes to the wall.... repeating over and over....

I see nothing...I bring home nothing...

but.... oh yes...

there is always a but...

I saw these out of the corner of my eye.....why didn't I keep  my eyes higher up???

and these

even more flannel

I circle the table.....walk away....

kept looking over at them.

They called to me....I even think by name....

I even said...does anyone want these fabrics?  Truly, trying to be fair and not take it all.

well....the little voice in side, you know that devil on the shoulder...said pooey with all of this

I am taking it all!!!!

SCORE!!!!!

Oh, this is too funny! I can just see you and I can hear that fabric calling your name. But, I'm sure you will find some wonderful uses for it. And, just think, you took three boxes and only came back with one! That's amazing! Have fun thinking about what you're going to do with all this. Nola

I can SO RELATE to this need for more fabric! I have been telling myself, enough, no more fabric for awhile when what do I see but someone selling their Civil War scraps. And for such a good price I couldn't stand it. My fingers typed my card number so fast my keyboard was smoking before anyone knew what was going on! It's a sickness I tell you, a SICKNESS!!!!!!!!

Wonderful! I loved how you resisted for so long...10 seconds is long when something is calling your name! Good for you!

Sometimes you just can not pass up such a great find. I am on a fabric "diet" and the other day when I got home I found two nice pieces of flannel fabric with a note that said. "I know you are on a diet but I could not pass these up!" She had found two nice size pieces of cute flannel for 50 cents each. Too funny that we can not resist even when we are buying for someone else.
I enjoy reading your blog.

You are so funny. I know what you mean about fabric calling your name.

You can't pass that up! Think of all those baby quilts, or girlie quilts you can make with those fabrics. It's all good!

Well....what would have rather had happen? They go to the trash? You rescued those poor fabrics....and did the right thing!
