TINY GIVEAWAY!

Today while I was making these.....

I made this quilt top. The only regret I have is that I prewashed this fabric and now it has all these little beads all over them. Doesn't look new and fresh.

So...I did more than two pots of gold but today I am offering to one of you these two pots of gold embroidery squares. Just leave a message.

I know what I am going to do with mine....do you have any ideas of what you would do with yours?

  1. I usually do not do giveaways but I love the pots of gold. Son and DIL are opening an Irish Pub. Wouldn't those look great with the name of the pub embroidered between them and an Irish chain pieced around it all and hung above the bar?
Thanks for the giveaway and Good to luck to all.

  2. I use extra blocks as labels or pot holders, add a row or two of fabric to size. I would add them to my on going collection of march fabrics which should be about ready to cut into soon. cw

  3. I like the top. It looks new and fresh in the photo. But I know how you feel. I just washed a quilt with a color catcher because I wanted to make sure the reds wouldn't bleed before I give it away. Now it looks slightly used instead of all warm and crinkly. Hubby said it is fine and I should give it away anyway.

  4. Your little pots of gold are so sweet Barb! I'd use it as the center for a small wall hanging block.
Have you tried Spray Sizing for your quilt top..it usually gives fabric a fresh, new look.

  8. Cute little pot o' gold! Being Irish, I'd put it on an apron front, or make a table topper around it. :-) have a happy weekend!

  10. I'm thinking the pot of gold would make a great center for a St. Patrick's Day pillow.

  15. Your pots-o-gold are sweet. I'm sure whomever won them will love them.

I have worked with flannel a couple times but I never pre-wash it. I know you're supposed to but I don't like those little balls. I want a quilt that I give to someone to look new and crisp. I don't pre-wash my cottons either. Call me a rebel lol.

  16. I say give it to the lady who got married on St Patricks day, how could you resist that one.
