BIRDIE BIRDIE IN THE SKY!!!

wHY'D YOU DO THAT IN MY EYE?
I'M SO LONESOME I COULD CRY....
AREN'T YOU GLAD THAT COWS CAN'T FLY?

How many of you remember that from your youth?

Well....yesterday (Saturday)_ I got up and had that cleaning itch.... Husband and son went to help someone move and I went to task....

Cleaned the house and then went after my sewing room....I am just pleased as punch. I sure love clean.

Then........I set my hand to doing stitchery.

I am as giddy as a young school girl..... look what I have done!!

Block 4

Little Miss Shabby Has a Birdie Stitches of the Month....and well....I could list a whole slew of you that are responsible for me having a desire to do this.

So Shame on you all!!! Shame! Shame! Shame!....because I can't put it down.

I am just tickled pink .....

Block 3

I got most of my threads from Jane Fabrics,
Infact, truth be told her, Tudy, Terry, Fiona and Linda are sooooo much responsible for my new found hobby.....My husband thanks you from the bottom of his pea picking heart!!!
There I go naming names....but there are alot more of you out there stitching your hearts out and I have coveted (I know, not suppose to covet) your stitcheries and the way it looks in a quilt that I have just decided I must do a quilt and these birdies are just adorable.

They are so cute. I seem to have the same problem, only I "need" to do something Christmassy for some reason.

Your stitcheries are adorable Barb! So far I haven't been bitten by the stitchery bug, thank goodness. I'm sure it will hit eventually as once upon a time I did a LOT of embroidery :0)

Love your birdie. I love that poem too. I don't think I've heard it before. It would be cute on one of Mary Lou's Story Quilts. I'll have to keep that in mind.

Those are looking good. When I make the upcoming baby girl a quilt, I need to put a couple of those blocks in it.

The birds are so cute and your stitches are just beautiful! Yes, I enlarged so I could see better. I would love to be able to stitch like that. Looking forward to see more.

Birdie Stitches is on my Wish List for being allowed to start a new project. :D I love the color palette you've used! Different from all the others I've seen.

Love the colors you chose. These little birdie blocks are very addictive. Welcome to the dark side. I've been having fun stitching these. They are cute and simple so they make a nice relaxing evening project.

II hope the quilt is going to come up soon as I would love to see it. I did something similar years and years ago - not with stitchery but with an appliqued heart in the middle of the square!

So cute and I like the variety of a new needlework in the quilt! Keep it up I can't wait to see the rest!
