THROWING SNOW BALLS TODAY

I joined a quilt along over at Bitn by a quilting bug a few weeks ago but have just now gotten around to starting.....

As I was doing this, I was thinking, was this suppose to be scrappy?

Am I going to be thrown out of the group? I love how it is turning out, I haven't ironed it yet, alittle bumpy.

Pat over at A little of this and a little of Pat, has asked us to go to the 5th folder, 5th picture....mine were just quilts so I decided to fudge a little and give those of you who are freezing an ocean view.

Thank you for showing me that it WILL be possible to walk along the ocean and not FREEZE at some point (within the next few months). I like your quilting piece so far. Thanks for showing it to us. And thanks for playing along with my little photo game today, too. It made me go back and look at some older photos that I don't see very often. I think I will do this on my blog periodically.

Love the snowball blocks! And I really love that beach photo! Makes me feel all warm, which I need since the wind chill is 6F right now and dropping! :0(

Hi Barb, a quilt doesn,t have to be a myriad of colours to be a scrap quilt , I think yours in mixed blues will look great----------cottonreel

Barb, I don't know why you would prefer the warm, sunny shore to the great talons of ice hanging from my roof! I do like the look of the quilt - I have not been able to move to the scrappy look yet - I think I'm too regimented.

I'm so happy you joined the Snowball group. I've been dropping some balls lately. Cut my fabric for this activity, but I haven't sewn my blocks. I need to focus to be able to keep up with a simple sew-cial goal of doing a few blocks each month. I should catch up this weekend!

Thrown out? Heck, NO! Your snowballs are beautiful. It's all about no pressure, no rules. If you use the snowball block in it, you're right with the rest of us! Love your fabric choices and I think that's going to be a beautiful quilt! Way to go!
