LOOK WHAT CAME ALL THE WAY FROM AUSTRALIA

Thanks so much Lyn from Blue Bird Quilts. This is just wonerful....these pajamas and underware are just awesome. Notice the little sewing machine....that is a little gifty to me....yepeeeee....Thanks soooooooooooo much Lyn, I know you have been feeling bad, hope you are better!!

Now I have something to say...first thanks to all of the wonderful quilters that sent care packages...you truly are making a difference.

Next is, I am struggling. I have designed one baby quilt and one wall hanging. I really feel like I am mediocre at best and who am I to put my work out there. I don't feel like I am good enough or creative enough...the list of not enoughs are long. I have put off finishing these items for fear and this quote by Nelson Mandela came to my mind.

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

So, that being said, in the next few days, weeks when I have finished my instructions, I will be posting what I have come up with, that is if fear does not take over.

Just love that quote by Nelson Mandela. I have been putting off using my machine, because I am afraid I might not do it properly. I am going to make some lace this afternoon! Thank you.

Barb, I think we can all feel that way. Who am I to put my work out there, for others to see. When I see all the incredible creative crafters whose work is actually art, I think, wow! such talent. But I think the key is that we are not to compare ourselves one to another. I started blogging as a journal of my quilting experience. I am a simple quilter but I love and enjoy making quilts. And I love and enjoy meeting new friends, such as yourself :-)

You are awesome. How many people would have been able to galvanize so many people to help your community. I read God Calling every day. This is from November 7.

Many think it is humility to say they do little, and are of little value to My world. To think that is pride.

What if the pipe were to say, "I do so little, I wish I could be more use." The reply would be "It is not you, but the water that passes through you, that saves and blesses. All you have to do is to see there is nothing to block the way so that the water cannot flow through."

Go for it girl! We all feel inadequate at one time or another, let it go and release your greatness. As Mandella said, "Who are you not to be?"
Thanks for the quote, I will copy and keep it near me, it is powerful!
